International Workcamp Organization (IWO) was established in 1999 to promote Peace and Development, Citizenship and Youth Empowerment through inter-cultural exchange and international volunteering.
We believe that to learn how to live in peace with mutual understanding and respect is the key education for the youth and volunteering for the development of the community is the main activity for the youth to learn how to live with the people in the global community. In order to achieve our vision, we coordinates international volunteer projects, youth exchange projects, training projects, inter-cultural and environmental campaign with various partner organizations worldwide.
We provide the opportunities for the young people to volunteer for the local people and community, to have inter-cultural learning, to have life-changing experiences in an international group or with the local community while participating in the projects. Every year, more than 3,500 youth and volunteers participate in our projects in 80 countries to contribute for the better world.
IWO is an Executive Committee member of CCIVS (Co-ordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service) at UNESCO, Paris and an Executive Committee member of Network for Voluntary Development in Asia (NVDA), a member of Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations.
